My recent project, ‘Another Nigga’ is a series of portraits of unarmed black Americans who were illegitimately killed in the USA by officers of the law.

These murders triggered a need to reflect on the value of life, the perceptions that one has of the other, and the idea of compensation.

Under those circumstances the exchange value of life have been reduced to a price. How does the power of money shape the meaning of our lives today?

By putting a price on these portraits and turning them into a product, Can they still have an impact and participate in the debate? How much can they keep their pertinency once turned into a commodity?
